Recontextualising the Sacraments

Bringing the sacraments to our lives today as a vital faith experience.

ECSI research has demonstrated that there is a positive relationship between Catholic identity and the spirituality that is manifested through prayer and the celebration of rituals and liturgy of the Catholic Church. Sacraments, which are rituals of life that sanctify human life, need to be reconfigured for a new context so that they will carry an authentic religious meaning for our school communities.

This resource was developed by Bernadette Tolan during a three month placement working with the Catholic Identity team at Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, under the direction of Professor Didier Pollefeyt.
